I will be hosting a pop-up show at Studio 5404 Artspace ( not for profit organization), in conjunction with the Long Island Progressive Coalition. The Long Island Progressive Coalition (LIPC) is a grassroots community-based organization founded in 1979, dedicated to promoting sustainable development, revitalizing local communities, enhancing human dignity, creating effective democracy, and achieving economic, social and racial justice. Submissions are being accepted of artwork representing political/social and environmental issues. Please send JPEG images that are 2MB and 300 dpi to Lorihorowitzartist@gmail.com. Please include: Title, Medium, Date, and Size and retail price. All submissions will be due by 11/5/17. Work need to be delivered to the gallery the week prior to the show. Show opens for private fund raiser event 11/30/17. A second reception, Open to the public, will be Saturday 12/2/17. 7:00pm.-9:30 pm. There will be a suggested donation fee of $30.00 to help offset the costs of mounting and coordinating this show that go to our not for profit organization and to support the artist community. We are also looking for musicians and performance art for the event as well working with the same theme.

For all artwork sold on night of the event, November 30, 2017, 35% of monies will go to benefit the organization (LIPC), 60% will go to the artists and 5% to Studio 5404 Artspace. Artists who would like to contribute more, have the option to donate work for auction with a minimum bid. The auction will be held only the evening of the private event. The exhibit will remain on display in the gallery for the through 12/14 for more exposure to LIPC’s important cause as well as supporting the artist community. After the date of November 30, 2017, 15% of the subsequent sales will go to benefit LIPC. and 25% will go to Studio 5404 Artspace, not for profit organization. If artists choose to donate more, they are welcome to do so.
